What is Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)

Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is a medical treatment aimed at supplementing or replacing testosterone in individuals who have low testosterone levels. Testosterone is a vital hormone in the body, primarily responsible for the development of male sexual characteristics, muscle mass, bone density, and the regulation of libido. It also plays a role in mood and energy levels.

Testosterone replacement therapy can be an effective treatment for men with low testosterone levels, improving various aspects of their health and quality of life. It does however require careful evaluation and ongoing monitoring by way of regular blood tests to minimize potential risks and side effects.

A GP Doctor or Specialist can determine if TRT is suitable for your condition based on your detailed blood test results and can tailor an individual treatment plan.
